Our products contain three fucoidan fractions with different molecular weight: high (above 500), low (around 500) and ultralow (below 500).

Fucoidan in its natural form is of high molecular weight, which means that multiple saccharide molecules are bonded together in long chains, which is known to impede its absorbability. Our company succeeded in lowering the fucoidan molecular weight as low as 500, which makes it much easier for the human digestive system to absorb. Natural fucoidan is similar to long hair, and if you take a very close look, it looks like long threads with pearls threaded on them. One pearl is one molecule of fucose with sulfate group and other substances branching out from it. These fucose bondings (α1-2, α1-4) can stretch for several dozens of thousands of links. After fucoidan has been separated from alginic acid and other fractions contained inside the mucous substance found in mozuku seaweed, it next undergoes the molecular weight adjustment stage, where using different technological processes (including enzymatic separation), its molecular chains are cut into segments of different lengths.
