Only the most carefully selected Okinawa mozuku brown alga (Cladosiphon okamuranus tokida) is put through our "Organic Citric Acid Extraction" (patent #3408180) - Kanehide Bio Co., Ltd* original patented manufacturing process - developed in cooperation with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Tsukuba, Tokyo. Citric acid is an organic acid found in lemons, plums and other plants and is essential for energy metabolism and recovery from fatigue in humans. Hydrochloric acid and acetic acid were formerly used to extract fucoidan from mozuku seaweed, but now we are able to extract high-quality fucoidan without the use of such chemicals. We utilize our patented technology to extract fucoidan from the seaweed, and further separate it according to its molecular weight, through an ultrafiltration process to produce a high-purity and high-quality fucoidan extract. We adjust its molecular weight of our fucoidan since this is essential to improve absorption into the body. One box of Okinawan Fucoidan contains approximately 42,000mg of fucoidan.
