Nano Agaricus Blazei Hypha Extract
It took long years of research and development to finally offer this nano-sized Agaricus Blazei extract to our customers. There are basically two methods of cultivating Agaricus Blazei: "solid cultivation" and "liquid cultivation". Most Agaricus Blazei manufacturers use "liquid cultivation", which allows very quick cultivation of this mushroom; about 2–3 weeks. But in Kanehide Bio Co., Ltd. we chose to take extra time to cultivate Agaricus Blazei to make it extra rich in beta-glucans and other polysaccharides. We use "solid cultivation" which takes about three months, after which one more month is spent on ripening the mushroom.
Using cutting-edge technology we managed to revolutionize the world of health products in Japan by making biologically active components available in nano-form. This increased their absorbability about 10-fold! So far manufacturers have tried to compensate low absorbability of the useful components in food supplements and medicines by increasing their dosages, but we have achieved substantial effects from lower dosages.
Useful components found in multiple plant extracts can be divided into two types: lipophilic, which dissolve well in oils, and hydrophilic, which dissolve well in water. Extraction of useful components is conducted based on the research of these characteristics. We managed to pack both lipophilic and hydrophilic substances inside one nanocapsule, the outer layer of which is called the liposome. Because we managed to pack even the hydrophobic (lipophilic) substances inside the nano-capsules, they now disperse well even in water. By conducting experiments with rats, where one group of these animals was fed with conventional curcumin extract (extracted from the ukon plant) and the other group with the nano-sized curcumin extract, we determined that in the latter group the blood levels of curcumin were about 5–10 times higher.
Kanehide Bio Co., Ltd., in cooperation with research institutions in Japan, succeeded in developing and applying nanotechnology in the field of pharmaceuticals and supplements, which let us lower the size of the biologically active substances as far as one nanometer (one-billionth of one meter).
