Gagome diet
We used 100 percent gagome kombu seaweed (Kjellmaniella crassifolia) young leaves (BF Gagome) with high fucoidan content, cultivated using biofarming technology developed at Hokkaido University, and uganomoku seaweed (Cystoseira hakodatensis) produced through our patented manufacturing process on the Hokkaido island in Japan to make this product. Through our farming technology we managed to double the fucoidan content in BF Gagome as compared to the wild gagome. Also, both of these seaweeds contain fucoxanthin, which is known for multiple health benefits, one of which is improving the fat-burning process in humans.
About gagome and uganomoku.
Gagome kombu seaweed is a relative of tororo kombu (Kjellmans tangles) and has a pitted-pattern surface. It is mostly found near the eastern coast of Hakodate on Hokkaido island in Japan. This type of kombu seaweed is known for the extra large content of the mucous substance, rich in fucoidan, alginic acid, laminarin and other water-soluble viscous polysaccharidic substaces. Grown at a close location, uganomoku seaweed is known for the especially high content of fucoxanthin, the carotenoid-type pigment.
