This tablet type 1-3 beta-glucan product boasts excellent adsorbability. 1-3 beta-glucan for this product is produced from hanabiratake mushroom cultivated with the licenced "Hanabiratake MH-3 Germs" (approval number：FERM P-17221). "1-3 Beta-Glucan Hanabiratake Sparassis Crispa" contains 220mg of pure β-glucan in every four tablets of this product. Hanabiratake (lat. "sparassis crispa") has been attracting attention of multiple researchers for its medicinal (primarily immunomodulatory) properties. This mushroom's natural growing locaion is primarily located at the northern island of Hokkaido, Japan. This crunchy mushroom with a peculiar smell resembling pine mushroom is considered a phantom mushroom by mushroom gatherers in Hokkaido because it is extremely rare to see. According to the results of multiple studies, hanabiratake contains a substantial amount of 1-3 beta glucan, the substance capable of activating human body's natural resistivity powers. Up until recent years artificial cultivation of hanabiratake was not possible and thus producing commercial hanabiratake production was considered an unreachable dream. However, due to the successful research at the Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, the artificial cultivation of hanabiratake mushroom, has now become possible and we are able to offer the hanabiratake products to our customers. From year 1998 there started a research at the Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (東京薬科大学薬学部) leading to the creation of this product. There have been more than 10 reports at Pharmaceutical Society of Japan/Cancer Society of Japan (日本薬学会・癌学会) about the effectiveness of high molecule β-glucans. One Box of this product contains a total of 6600mg of beta-glucan.
